Job Description

The Partnership & Proposal Writer is responsible for developing high-quality proposals, grant applications, and partnership documentation to secure funding, business collaborations, and strategic alliances. This role requires strong research, writing, and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

Proposal Development

  • Draft, edit, and finalize grant proposals, project bids, and partnership documents.
  • Translate organizational goals into compelling proposals that meet client or donor requirements.
  • Ensure all proposals are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct market and sector research to identify funding opportunities.
  • Analyze potential partners’ needs and align proposals with their objectives.
  • Track and report on proposal success rates and feedback for continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with government agencies, NGOs, and private partners for collaborative opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential partners and donors.

Reporting & Monitoring

  • Maintain a central database of proposals, submissions, and outcomes.
  • Prepare periodic reports on business development and partnership activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Development Studies, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in proposal writing, business development, or partnerships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong research, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and online research tools.
