Job Description
Action For Development (AFD) is seeking Project Accountant / Administration & Finance Assistant is responsible for managing finance, accounting, administration, and logistics functions at the project level, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, accurate financial reporting, and effective operational support to project teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 6 years relevant professional experience
- NGO experience, particularly in pastoral areas, is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise finance, accounting, administration, and logistics activities
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, coding, posting, and reporting
- Track project budgets and ensure accurate and timely financial reports
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Provide financial and administrative support to project coordinators and teams
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Proficiency in financial and standard application software
- Analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong integrity, accountability, and teamwork values
- Gender equity and safeguarding sensitivity
- Knowledge of local context and vernacular language is an asset
