Job Description
The Sales Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing the company’s sales strategy, leading the sales team, and driving revenue growth. The role requires a strong understanding of the Ethiopian telecom and ISP market, competitive positioning, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
- Identify target markets, customer segments, and revenue opportunities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
Team Management & Performance
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise sales representatives.
- Set clear sales KPIs and performance benchmarks.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Expand corporate and enterprise client portfolios.
- Explore emerging markets and new product opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with corporate and individual clients.
- Understand customer connectivity needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Present revenue forecasts and expense reports to management.
- Analyze sales data and adjust strategies accordingly.
Negotiation & Contract Management
- Lead high-level negotiations with corporate clients and strategic partners.
- Finalize contracts while ensuring profitability and compliance.
Job Requirements
Education
MA or BA degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience in Telecom/ISP industry is highly preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office applications.
- Strong understanding of the Ethiopian telecom market.
Language
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English.
