Job Description

Highlight Trading is established in 2008 with investments in telecommunications, manufacturing, import-export, and high-end printing. In 2019, the company became a super distributor of Ethio-telecom products and services.Responsible for planning, monitoring, and analyzing company costs and budgets to support efficient operations, profitability, and sound financial decision-making.

Qualification:

BA degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years total experience, of which at least 2 years must be as Senior Cost and Budget Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collect and organize cost information into a database of expenses
  • Construct systems to accumulate and monitor cost data
  • Determine formulas for fixed and variable costs (rent, insurance, purchases, etc.)
  • Plan budgets and prepare departmental reports
  • Review receipts and compare with actual charges to detect inaccuracies
  • Project profit margins and analyze financial trends
  • Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules
  • Analyze month-end and year-end reports and recommend cost-saving improvements
  • Review supply chain pricing, labor costs, shipping discounts, and sales records
  • Evaluate inventory tracking systems and reconcile data with manufacturing centers
  • Audit inventory in regional warehouses annually
  • Use accounting and ERP software to track budgets and costs
  • Prepare monthly accounting reports for management
  • Prepare budget proposals and financial goals for upcoming fiscal years
  • Work with production and manufacturing managers to improve efficiency
  • Maintain bookkeeping ledgers for expenses, travel costs, and other financial data
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with ethical and legal standards
  • Apply GAAP principles and best accounting practices

  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Basic IT system knowledge
