Qualification:

BA degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2–6 years relevant experience in tax accounting, compliance, or related roles

Duties and Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance & Reporting:

Prepare, review, and submit statutory tax returns (VAT, WHT, Payroll Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Pension, Excise, etc.) accurately and on time

Tax Follow-up & Liaison:

Serve as primary contact with Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) and other government bodies during submissions, audits, and inspections

Record Keeping:

Maintain complete and secure tax documentation and financial records

Reconciliation:

Reconcile tax-related accounts with the general ledger regularly

Advisory & Planning:

Monitor changes in Ethiopian tax laws and advise management on tax implications and optimization opportunities

Audit Support:

Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits

Internal Coordination:

Work closely with payroll, procurement, and sales teams to ensure tax compliance

E-filing:

Perform ERCA e-filing and manage electronic tax payments

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree, ERP systems, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong communication skills in English and Amharic
