Job Description

This role requires strategic thinking, strong marketing expertise, and a commitment to social impact. You will oversee the “5 Ps” (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, and Person) to optimize both social outcomes and business sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement 12-month marketing and sales calendars to achieve targets.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and secure new distribution channels including pharmacies, wholesalers, and private clinics.
  • Demand Generation: Design and lead campaigns (roadshows, youth forums, digital marketing) to increase product uptake.
  • Product Launch Management: Oversee introduction of new SRH products, ensuring regulatory compliance and team readiness.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build partnerships with NGOs, government agencies, and private sector actors.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and track promotional ROI.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales or marketing, ideally in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or NGO sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in the 5 Ps of marketing; experience in Social Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC).
  • Mindset: Pro-choice, entrepreneurial, courageous, and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
  • Communication: Fluent in Amharic and English; able to present complex data clearly.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 40% to regional sites.
  • Additional Skills: Strong coordination and networking abilities.
