Job Description
Job SummaryMerit Engineering PLC is seeking a qualified Welder to perform welding, fabrication, and basic mechanical repair works. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components, maintaining machinery and equipment, and ensuring all work is completed safely and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding, fabrication, and basic mechanical repair works.
- Weld and assemble metal components according to specifications.
- Inspect, repair, and maintain machinery, structures, and equipment.
- Operate welding machines, hand tools, and workshop equipment safely.
- Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing activities.
- Identify and resolve basic mechanical and welding issues.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Certificate or Diploma in Welding Technology or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant welding experience.
- Previous welding experience is mandatory.
Required Skills
- Welding and metal fabrication.
- Mechanical repair and equipment maintenance.
- Safe operation of welding machines and workshop tools.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
