Job Description
Bethlehem Youth Academy is seeking qualified and committed Junior English and Mathematics Teachers to support high-quality teaching and student development. The successful candidates will prepare effective lesson plans, deliver engaging classroom instruction, assess student progress, communicate with parents, and actively participate in school-wide academic and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare dynamic daily, weekly, and annual lesson plans for English and Mathematics.
- Deliver engaging lessons that promote critical thinking and student participation.
- Conduct continuous classroom assessments and maintain accurate student progress records.
- Prepare students effectively for regional examinations.
- Communicate constructively with parents regarding student progress and development.
- Support departmental objectives and participate in school-wide academic programs.
- Provide after-school enrichment activities and additional student support.
- Participate in inset trainings and professional development activities.
- Develop lesson plans in accordance with school and national curriculum requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support academic excellence and student development.
- Use educational platforms and digital tools where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- BA or B.Ed. Degree in English or Mathematics.
- 5–10 years of experience in a private school.
- Proven experience preparing students for regional examinations.
- Fluent in English and able to conduct classroom instruction effectively in English.
- Experience developing curriculum-aligned lesson plans.
- Preference will be given to candidates who can teach multiple subjects.

Salary & Benefits
Minimum Gross Salary: 28,000 ETB
