Required Qualifications and Experience

• BA/BSc Degree in Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in import/export, trading, or freight transport companies
• Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws (VAT, Withholding Tax, Customs & ERCA regulations)
• Proven experience in preparing financial statements and periodic financial reports
• Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory control
• Proficiency in Peachtree accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and periodic financial reports
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian tax laws and other regulatory requirements
• Manage daily accounting activities and supervise junior accounting staff
• Monitor expenses and control costs related to import, export, and freight transport operations
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, customs offices, and regulatory authorities
