Job Description
The Senior IT Internal Auditor will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the bank’s information systems, IT controls, cybersecurity measures, and technology governance. The role ensures that the bank’s IT infrastructure operates securely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive audits of the bank’s information systems, applications, and databases.
- Evaluate IT governance frameworks, internal controls, and system security policies.
- Identify potential IT risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.
- Review system access management, user privileges, and authentication mechanisms.
- Assess cybersecurity practices including data protection, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
- Examine compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and international IT audit standards.
- Prepare audit reports detailing findings, risks, and improvement recommendations.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions following audit reviews.
- Work closely with the IT department to strengthen system reliability and security.
Qualification
BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- At least 2 years of service as an IT Internal Auditor.
