Job Description
The Cashier is responsible for handling cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and managing petty cash operations in compliance with organizational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and deposit cash and cheques
- Record daily cash transactions and prepare reports
- Disburse petty cash based on approved documents
- Process authorized payments and advances
- Reconcile cash balances with records and documents
- Maintain proper documentation of all transactions
Job Requirements
Education:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
Experience:
- 0 years (Master’s) or 3 years (Bachelor’s)
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic mathematics knowledge
- IFMIS system knowledge (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in federal and local languages
