Job Description
Ethiopian National Election Board is seeking an IT Support professional to provide technical assistance, device configuration, system testing, and operational support across its main office, warehouse, and field locations.
- Required Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in: - Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Computer Engineering
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Or a related technical field
Preferred Experience (Experience is an advantage but not mandatory):
- Basic IT support or help desk experience
- Exposure to hardware installation or device configuration
- Participation in technical university labs or projects
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software installation
- Familiarity with Windows OS and Android configuration
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on laptops and tablets
- Understanding of system testing concepts (functional/UI/workflow)
- Basic networking and user account management skills
- Ability to document activities and follow standard procedures

Key Responsibilities
Device Setup & Configuration
- Install laptop SSDs and configure required operating systems and applications
- Register, configure, and prepare tablets for field deployment
- Assist with device labeling, documentation, and tracking
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Perform basic functional tests, UI testing, and workflow testing
- Conduct system performance checks
- Carry out content and data quality verification tasks
Technical Support
- Provide VRS (Voter Registration System) support to polling station staff
- Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries from the call center
- Provide technical support to internal staff at the main office and field locations
- Assist with account setup, password resets, and device troubleshooting
Operational Support
- Support IT inventory management and documentation processes
- Report technical issues and follow escalation procedures
- Work collaboratively with IT teams to ensure readiness of all equipment
