Programme Management Officer, NOC – United Nations Economic Commission for Africa

The position focuses on the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes, operations, and related activities, particularly in infrastructure-related areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Support implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programmes and projects.
• Contribute to programme and project management activities.
• Support work related to infrastructure-focused programmes.
• Monitor programme implementation and performance.
• Contribute to planning, administration, and reporting activities.
• Apply data and analytical approaches to support programme management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• A first-level university degree combined with 2 years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
• Successful completion of degree and non-degree programmes in data analytics, business analytics, or data science is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in project/programme management, administration, or related areas.
• At least 2 years of experience developing programmes/projects related to infrastructure, including transport, energy, ICT, or water resources, is required.
• 2+ years of experience in data analytics or related areas is desirable.

Language Requirements

• English: Fluency required
• French: Desirable
• Knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
