Key Responsibilities

Cost Monitoring & Analysis

• Monitor and analyze production costs, including raw materials, labor, and manufacturing overhead.
• Track and review operational expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
• Identify cost drivers and recommend improvements.

Cost Records & Inventory Management

• Develop, maintain, and update cost sheets and cost records.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and costing systems.
• Conduct cost reconciliations regularly (monthly, quarterly, annually).

Budgeting & Variance Analysis

• Compare actual costs against budgets and standard costs.
• Perform variance analysis and clearly explain deviations.
• Recommend corrective actions to address cost overruns.

Reporting & Decision Support

• Prepare detailed cost reports for management.
• Analyze cost trends and highlight cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in setting standard costs and contribute to pricing strategies.

Audit & Compliance

• Support internal and external audits related to cost and inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Strengthen internal controls related to cost accounting.

Cross-Department Collaboration

• Work closely with production, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost tracking.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

Risk Management

• Identify financial and operational risks related to cost management.
• Propose practical mitigation measures to improve efficiency and profitability.

Additional Duties

Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Educational Qualification

BA Degree in Accounting & Finance or related field.

Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in cost accounting or cost control.
• Manufacturing industry experience is strongly preferred.
• Practical experience in budgeting, forecasting, and production cost monitoring.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory control systems.
• Good understanding of production processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
