Job Description
Addis Life Real Estate PLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage cost estimation, budgeting, and financial control for construction projects. The role includes preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, monitoring project costs, and ensuring efficient resource utilization. Experience in real estate development projects is highly preferred.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents
- Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to approved budgets
- Evaluate contractor quotations and manage contract variations
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and cost implications
- Prepare and submit regular financial and progress reports
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices
Qualifications
- BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in real estate development projects is highly desirable
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation and BOQ preparation
- Good analytical, budgeting, and financial management skills
- Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, or similar software
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
